What our guests say…

We’ve stayed here four times now! Just a few 100 metres from Portsalon Quay, the golf course and the stunning Portsalon beach, this is such a great place to stay. The house easily sleeps the 7 of us. With a fully-equipped kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher and central heating, it had all the comforts of home, but with much better views! Highly recommend it and am looking forward to the next visit.
Perfect location and a great place to stay
We travelled in February to stay for 4 days. The area was quiet at this time which suited us although it may have benefited our kids to have had company nearby. The house is situated within easy walking distance of the local pub and restaurant as well as the golf club. The beach is also a very short walk away. The house was clean and had all the appliances etc. that you would expect i.e. Washing Machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven, TV and DVD player. The gas stove was out of order which was disappo…
Ideal spot for a family break.
We had an absolutely fabulous time. It was extremely relaxing and the scenery in the surrounding countryside is inspiring. The nearby restaurant served wonderful food and gave us a hearty welcome.
Absolutely fantastic
If you are thinking of a break in Portsalon, don’t pass up on staying at this house. Everything you will need, warm, clean & comfortable. The beach is also amazing Thanks Margaret for all your help and of course the beautiful bread.
Amazing Place
We recently stayed in 10 the Gardens and had a wonderful time. The location, with easy access to the beach and other local amenities (restaurant and pub), is great. The cottage is comfortable and the welcome is warm. We travelled with 3 small children and all really enjoyed. The kids are still talking about Donegal. Hope to return and have no hesitation in recommending.
Great house, great location, great break
We had 2 lovely days over Easter at the cottage and really loved it….we wished we could have stayed longer! The cottage was very welcoming and the location was just perfect!
Portsalon is just perfect!
We very much enjoyed our recent stay in Portsalon at 10 The Gardens. The house is well appointed and comfortable. Its star attraction however, is its proximity to the beach – particularly with children on board.
Lovely location in Portsalon
The house is lovely and airy. Close to a small shop and great Pub & restaurant, with a magnificient 18 hole Links golf course within walking distance
Magical getaway, great amenities
My partner and I stayed here and was amazed at how many people were able to stay here. All up, six people could stay here comfortably. The lounge is a great open space with the ceiling going all the way to the roof. Was a great stay for us because we were travelling round Europe and this house had a washing machine and drier. Just down from the house is the local pier and a restaurant, which I’m sure is open in summer. The house is great but the thing that made it special for us was its location…
Throw away the phone and enjoy the peace, quiet and fresh air.
We had a fabulous time in the cottage. It was warm and comfortable and everything that we could have wanted. The beach was just superb. Rita’s is warm and welcoming and the food at Sarah’s is excellent – I can recommend the chowder. Its in Ireland but we think its a small piece of heaven. I would have no hesitation to recommend this to all our friends. Thanks!
Excellent Stay
